Terms of service
Please read the following information to ensure that you fully understand all booking terms and conditions, how payments are made, our cancellation policy and our insurance waiver.

“Wilder Experience”, “Wilder Experiences” or “The Company” refers to Wilder Experiences SPA, RUT: 76887152-3, registered as a company in the Republic of Chile.
“Client”, “guest” – refers to the person/s who is/are named and identified on the booking form as the confirmed party/ies embarking on the trip or excursion and by being so named contracts and is held bound by these terms and conditions, notwithstanding that not all the person/s might have signed the booking form and that an agent might have made the booking, in which case such agent will be similarly bound. All such person/s named in the booking form shall be jointly and severally liable for the due performance of their obligations in terms hereof and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein. All minors warrant that they have contracted with their legal guardians.
“You or Your” – refers to the client as defined.
“Trip”, “safari”, “travel” – refers to any tour, excursion, safari or similar booking made with Wilder Experiences and as described on the booking form and itinerary attached thereto, as applicable.
“Supplier/s” or “Third-party” refers to the third-party agents with whom Wilder Experiences books services on behalf of the client, including but not limited to tour operators, shuttles, accommodation establishments, safaris and so on.
In the interpretation of these terms and conditions the headings are used for reference only and do not aid in the interpretation of the contents.
Any reference to the singular shall include reference to the plural and vice versa while any reference to gender includes reference to both genders and any reference to natural persons will include reference to legal entities.
How to book
a) Contact us or one of our representatives or use this website and wait for us to contact you back to confirm your booking. Fill out your Traveler Profile and send it to Wilder Experience (“Wilder Experiences” or the “Company”) so we can make sure that you are fit to take your chosen safari. Bookings are confirmed through email notification.
b) The Company can advise you on airline flights to, from and within Africa via other agencies. However, please note that a service fee will apply and that we cannot be held responsible for any schedule changes, flight delay or flight cancellations that occur to your flights and that consequently affects your travel arrangements. Your ability to cancel or modify a booked travel product or service, and the method for doing so, will depend on the specific airline’s fare rules or other Travel Supplier’s terms and conditions. It therefore may not be possible to cancel or modify products or services ordered, or there may be specific requirements you will have to meet.
c) In order to reserve your place on your selected safari itinerary you will be asked to send a nonrefundable deposit of 30% of the safari itinerary cost. The amount may vary if there is a special promotion available through the website. On receipt of your signed reservation form and deposit, we will, subject to availability, reserve your place on your selected safari itinerary and send you an e-mail confirmation. Final payment is due to Wilder Experiences not later than 45 days prior to departure.
d) We accept Wire transfers or Credit Cards payments via PayPal or our WooCommerce platform. Any bank charges incurred as a result of such a payment will be for your account, notwithstanding the method of payment chosen, and please consider that clients paying with credit card may be charged an extra third-party commission of about 3% (it can be less or more) for all reservations.
e) Should you have paid in full for your booking and there are increases that occur in pricing that neither ourselves as agent nor the suppliers have any control of, you will be liable for these increases and will be billed accordingly. This can be as a result of several factors including, but not restricted to, Government Taxes increases that affect tourism related services and Park Fees increases.
Cancellation and changes to shedules
a) Wilder Experiences reserves the right to cancel reservations should your deposit or balance of payment not be received on time.
b) Cancellations from your side are only effective on receipt of written notification. If cancellation is prior to 8 weeks before departure your deposit is forfeited. If your cancellation is made after the due date for full payment of your tour fare, charges will be levied. The scale of charges, expressed as a percentage of the tour prices, is as follows: More than 8 weeks notice ~ Deposit forfeited; Less than 8 weeks notice ~ Deposit plus 25%; Less than 4 weeks notice ~ 50%; Less than 3 weeks notice ~ 60%; Less than 2 weeks notice ~ 100%. Should you fail to join a safari or join it after departure or leave it prior to its completion, no safari fare refund can be made.
c) The itinerary is a guide to which we will attempt to adhere, but it may be necessary to alter it at short notice as a result of circumstances or events outside our control. Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules it should be borne in mind that the Company reserves the right and in fact is obliged to occasionally change routes and camps on safaris as dictated by changing conditions. Such conditions may be brought about by seasonal rainfall on bush tracks, airfields and in game areas, by game migrations from one region to another, or airline or other booking problems, etc.
If you change your booking
After your booking has been confirmed, should you wish to make any changes to your itinerary or wish an earlier departure date, we will make every effort to accommodate your requests based on availability. However, there may extra costs involved to accommodate your request. These costs are in addition to the fee quoted for your initial safari. Normal cancellation fees apply if you wish to postpone your departure.
a) It is a condition of booking that the sole responsibility lies with the guest to ensure that they carry the correct comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover themselves, as well as any dependents/travelling companions for the duration of their trip to Africa. This insurance should include cover in respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation or curtailment of the safari, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, damage/theft/loss of personal baggage, money and goods. Wilder Experiences, including their representatives, employees and agents, will take no responsibility for any costs, losses incurred or suffered by the guest, or guest’s dependents or travelling companions, with regards to, but not limited to, any of the above-mentioned eventualities. Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require, and may find themselves in a position unable to access such services should they not be carrying the relevant insurance cover.
b) Depending on the itinerary, Wilder Experiences or a supplier can but is not obliged to provide Flying Doctors Insurance for evacuation purposes in case of emergency. Flying Doctors Insurance covers the provision of light aircraft with qualified doctors, able to evacuate patients from remote locations to hospital. How- ever, this is not a substitute for your travel insurance and is only available in conjunction with that insurance.
a) Tropical Disease precautions should be commenced prior to departure. It is also your responsibility to be familiar with all diseases, potential or real, when traveling to and through Africa and to take the necessary precautions, vaccinations, immunization, inoculation and medication requirements timeously. Please consult your doctor for specific advice.
b) If you are a contagious-disease carrier, you must let us know before booking your safari.
c) It is your responsibility to make arrangements for the provision of any medication or treatment while you are there, and failing to declare any condition, illnesses, disability or others alike, will constitute a breach of these terms and conditions and can constitute in you being excluded from your booked trip without refund of any payment.
For safety and because space is restricted, baggage in some charter aircraft is restricted to a maximum of 15 kg per person in a soft bag. This includes camera equipment and carry-on baggage. The same applies to terrestrial vehicles because overloaded vehicles are inherently dangerous and cause unnecessary transport problems, potentially endangering clients and company representatives. Please adhere to these luggage restrictions. Any extra-cost as a result of carrying more baggage or kilograms of baggage will be responsibility of the guest.
Passport and Visas
It is upon the guest to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries visited. Wilder Experiences and their staff cannot be held liable for any visas, etc. not held by the guests, nor the cost resulting of any problem caused by the guest’s personal documentation.
(This varies from itinerary to itinerary) Insurance to cover for cancellation and curtailment, medical, baggage and money, emergency evacuation back home; beverages in certain areas; personal laundry at certain camps; gratuities to guides, paddlers and to staff; any excursion not related to the safari; optional meals not included in the itinerary; scheduled airfares; transfers and departure taxes.
Please be aware that these safaris may take you into close contact with wild animals. Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no safari into the African wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur. Neither Wilder Experiences, nor its third-party providers, can be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari. Please make sure you always follow your guide’s recommendations.
Tour leader and guide authority
Your tour leader or guide may adopt an authoritative position in relation to you as a client and for the peace of mind and safety of everyone in the trip, must be adhered to at all times during this trip. By booking the trip you abide to be bound by the decisions and leadership of the tour leader or guide at all times. Similarly, it is your obligation to behave in a responsible manner throughout the trip and any illegal, unwarranted, or inappropriate behavior on your behalf and/or any behavior that constitutes a nuisance or danger for you or anyone else in the trip, can result in your safari terminated with immediate effect and without any recourse to a refund.
Neither Wilder Experiences nor any person or agent acting for, through or on behalf of the Company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the afore-going shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in its brochure or other literature, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, theft, injury or death.
In addition, the Company shall have the right at any time at its discretion to cancel any safari or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route, accommodation, price or other details and, in the event of any safari being rendered impossible, illegal or inadvisable by weather, strike, war, government or interference or any other cause whatsoever, the extra expenses incurred as a result thereof shall be the responsibility of the guest.
The Company may at its discretion and without liability or cost to itself at any time cancel or terminate the guest’s booking and in particular without limiting the generality of the afore-going it shall be entitled to do so in the event of the illness or the illegal or incompatible behavior of the guest, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund.
The person making any booking will, by the making of such booking, warrant that he or she has authority to enter into a contract on behalf of the other person included in such a booking and in the event of the failure of any or all of the other persons so included to make payment, the person making the booking shall by his/her signature thereof assume personal liability for the total price of all bookings made by him/her.
Whilst the Company uses its best endeavors to ensure that all anticipated accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature whatsoever against the Company for a refund either in the whole or part, if any accommodation or excursion is unavailable and a reasonable alternative is not found. If the guest is unable to use any service provided in the itinerary, then there are no refunds due.
The Company reserves the right to use any photographs and videos taken during tours for marketing or any other advertising material. The client hereby gives consent to use such photographs and authorizes the Company to retain the copyright for these photographs and such material.
The payment of the deposit OR any other partial payment for a reservation on a safari constitutes consent by all guests covered by that payment to all provisions of the conditions and general information contained in this document whether the guest has signed the reservation form or not. The terms, under which you agree to take these safaris, cannot be changed or amended except in writing signed by an authorized director of the Company.
Changes to the Terms of Service
We may update the Terms of Service to reflect changes to our services practices. If we make any material change we will provide notice on this website. Please always check this page before making a booking for the latest information on our terms and conditions. If you continue to use the services after those changes are in effect you agree to the revised Terms of Service.
